I remember listening to a set by LeFreak that had a sample taken from, “Army of Darkness” in it. “Moving in the, moving in the, dark shadows. the dark shadows. MOving in the moving in the, dark shadows”

Also something about alien spacecraft being spotted!

Wow if someone knew how to get ahold of that set. The beats are still running through my mind over 10 years later.

YEAH, LeFreak!! I remember chatting with her about, possibly, this very mix! She said it was intended for exactly what you propose in your closing paragraph… perhaps you were there?

I’m super impressed with all you’ve got here BtG but I’ve noticed an omission, my favorite morning trance dj of the era, Elixir. Perhaps in the future? Do you take requests? And how about Frisky, while I’m at it…?

Agreed 100%, Mint. Her track selections have soul, not just flash. Even in the company of Toronto’s resident and superstar DJs she holds her own.

She’s a class act, a great dj, and has an unbelievable record collection. She once told me that she never bought a record simply because it was really popular at the time, but that she always bought the records she thought were truly great and would hold up over time.

She’s very passionate about this stuff.
