Love PTS back in the day before they even played harder edged house and when Shams was the 3rd man in. in the warehouse scene pre-1997.

house djs, producers & dancers were born from some of these two’s parties.

These guys were stellar! I used to go to Oz, Emerald City, Madd Bar, The fluid, RPM, Buzz… all good times! You all like the tapes mentioned above so you would probably like Myka’s stomp series from 97-99 and the P&T’s “Tech-House” series of tapes from 97-2001. This is when they played the good good stuff!

Glad there are others that sill look for this stuff.

Im here in Vancouver and had a DOPE tape of one of those shows.

By the tracks would think it was a bit earlier, like ’94/94ish

Had a chick announcing and some mention of Jason Palma as well.

Thanks for the comment, JJ. I was totally down with house back in the day, and particularly Toronto house from DJs like Peter and Tyrone and producers like Nick Holder. However, I was more into the hardcore and jungle scenes so I was rarely there to represent at the house events – I just collected the mixtapes.

I’m really glad this recording brought back some memories for you. Peter and Tyrone are responsible for a lot of amazing sounds being introduced to our fair little town.

My crew use to dance in the house cyphers at all the Jams back in these days. Sadly, this tape was stolen from me at one of my house parties. I am very happy that you have posted this. I picked up my copy on Yonge St, at Play De Record. There were a lot of good mixes by these two. They were always receptive to our crew because we danced mad, and danced well. You knew who we were and we knew you if you were down with house.
